This symposium will be chaired by EURETINA president Anat Loewenstein and will feature an insightful talk on diagnostic strategies for early detection and monitoring of dry AMD by EURETINA’s imaging subspecialty section co-chair Stela Vujosevic. Adnan Tufail will cover disease classification systems and how to identify patients at risk for fast disease progression to geographic atrophy. Patient case examples will be provided by Arshad Khanani and Jeff Heier who will share their experiences and real-world perspectives on complement inhibiting treatment options. Finally, EURETINA’s President-Elect Nicole Eter will round out the program with important considerations on effective communications with patients receiving injection therapies.
